Printed between the late 1950s into 1960s, these editions were the work and passion of Idrisyn Oliver Evans ( I.O. Evans). Named for the street that Evans publisher occupied at the time, this series was known as the Fitzroy series. Credited for making Verne once again relevant to the masses, these reprints, and in some cases, first English prints were pivotal in making early sci-fi interesting again.
